Description: The Revelation E.P. a collection of four songs recorded by the band in 1980, featuring their earliest, most eclectic, and imaginative efforts. Parousia’s first time in the studio had but one-rule in place amongst band members, “you could write any song you wanted, provided the band could play it live.” This philosophy led to some remarkably interesting arrangements and styles. A hip New-Wave punk-song titled “Miss Ogyny”, featured on “Buffalo Rocks”, the first 97-Rock ‘home grown’ album. “Malmedy”, a six-minute progressive-rock operetta. “Oh My Love”, inspired by the rhythms and melodies of the British Invasion. “Revelation”, the title track, written by Patt Connolly, features compelling melodies over syncopated power-chords, heavy-guitar licks, plus that awesome flute!
