Description: “ALIVE IN L.A.” is a two-track single by Parousia that spans nearly a decade apart in the making.


Track ‘A’ – “No Time For Keron” (1998) the only ‘in-studio’ recording by the band after relocating to Los Angeles in 1987. [Editor’s Note: until the band’s reunion in 2018 and subsequent new recordings].

“No Time For Keron” features original members from Buffalo, NY, Gerry Cannizzaro (drums), Patt Connolly (vocals / keyboards) and Robert Lowden (vocal/guitar/bass). In the song, Lowden’s guitar weaves a haunting melody over Connolly’s vocal stylings and chaotic experimental keyboard, together forming a thick and moody alternative-rock sound that makes “No Time For Keron” a 1990’s Parousia classic.

Track ‘B’ – “Mary’s Gone” [Live] (1989), a song written by Robert Lowden and recorded live at The Music Machine, in Santa Monica, CA. “

”Mary’s Gone” is one of the band’s most popular live songs. It is an emotionally charged prog rock-ballad lamenting the recent death of a loved one and the sense of loss that follows. The live recording of “Mary’s Gone” features musicians: Patt Connolly (vocal); Robert Lowden (guitar); Gerry Cannizzaro (drums) and joining the band, keyboardist Marty Leggett from Reno, Nevada. [Editor’s Note: “Mary’s Gone” is an adjunct to the band’s 2019 studio recording, “No Songs For Mary”.]
